TuksSwimming
SA’s swimming future – in our lanes
#waterisourworld
We envision a future where South Africa is recognized as one of the global leaders in competitive swimming, renowned for nurturing home-grown talent that excels on the world stage
At TuksSwimming, we
build a formidable force…
We have positioned top class coaches in each of our three distinct pathways: our Junior Program where young talent is discovered and developed, our University Program where collegiate athletes reach new competitive heights, and our Senior Program where South Africa’s elite prepare to dominate on the world stage. Our Master’s program is an exciting new addition.
While swimming may appear to be an individual sport, the essence of success lies within the power of our team.

The Story of TuksSwimming
When the sports director handed Rocco Meiring the keys to a green pool with ducks in it, nobody could have predicted what would follow.
From this neglected facility, dedication forged excellence. A world-class swimming program emerged, dominating competitions at every level. TUKS quickly became South Africa’s swimming powerhouse, claiming consecutive victories in age-group and senior national championships as well as in university competitions.
TUKS quickly became a magnet for South Africa’s swimming talent. Athletes like Tatjana Smith (née Schoenmaker), Kaylene Corbett, Erin Gallagher, and Pieter Coetzee chose to develop their skills here. Tatjana Smith shattered the world record while claiming Olympic gold in Tokyo.
The 2024 Games brought more glory – another gold and silver for Tatjana, while Pieter Coetzee and Kaylene Corbitt reached the Olympic finals.
From a duck pond to Olympic medals. This is TUKS.
